Welcome to my blog! I am so glad you are here.
Let me start by sharing the “why” behind starting this blog. If I’m being honest, part of it was out of necessity. Writing is my way of processing. It is how I think through things, how I gain perspective. It is sometimes how I heal, sometimes how I find the good.
Lately I have had a desire to write. For all of the thoughts in my mind to become words on a page so I can see them and better understand them.
Rather than keeping to a journal, I chose to start a blog so I can share some of these words with you. I know how much reading the words of others has impacted me. How many times I have read something that was exactly what I needed at that exact moment.
Sometimes the words of others have filled me up.
Sometimes they have been my oxygen.
And other times still they have given me a needed perspective change.
If my words can be any of those things for even just one person, that is my “why.”
So here it is… “Loving the Lesson”
I chose that title for a variety of reasons.
First of all, I am a kindergarten teacher. So a blog about lessons and loving lessons would only make sense!
But it also goes much deeper.
Life is never a straight, smooth path. Rather it is full of twists and turns, ups and downs. It’s full of lessons.
When you hit a twist in life, one you never saw coming, do you ever get overwhelmed? Panic at the uncertainty? Try to turn back to the path you knew, the one you were familiar with?
When life knocks you down to the bottom, do you ever wonder how you got there? Again. Do you wonder if you have the strength to climb back up? And if you do find the strength, do you wonder if it’s even worth it? Knowing you could just fall back down?
I am ready for a perspective shift.
My goal through this blog is to learn how to love the lessons life hands us, both good and bad.
If it is a lesson through struggle, I want to find love and beauty in it. Even if it is through tears.
If it is a lesson of joy and happiness, I want to celebrate with you!
Let’s see where this journey takes us.
Can’t wait for your kindergarten stories!!!!
Thanks Amy! There will be plenty to share!!
